HeismanPundit.com has moved Colt McCoy into the number 1 spot after this week's win over Texas A&M. The senior passed for 304 yards and four touchdowns to go along with a career-high 175 rush yards during the Thanksgiving night match-up.
He took the lead over Stanford's Toby Gerhart, with seven first-place votes (out of 13) and 58 points according to HeismanPundit. The ESPN Heisman Watch agreed with 10 of their 15 "experts" giving McCoy the 1st place vote. Even the NY Times has posted an article discussing McCoy's run for the trophy.
This Saturday the Longhorns take on Nebraska in the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship. The game will be played at 7p.m. in Arlington, TX at the Cowboys Stadium. This game will be televised on ABC.
